Yeah I think that to! I mean the musical is the most popular, The book is popular to but not as much as the musical. I just think a musical would be watched more then a drama or adventure type movie. I think anne hathaway would make a good elphie... she sings so she would be perfect for a musical. and i think she is a good actress to.
I did have a thought though. What about an actress like Hillary Swank as Elphaba? A younger woman known for her darker more brooding roles. I bet Hillary could bring a new edge to Elphaba that nobody even thought of before.
like omg NO!!!! I don't think she is good at all and would ruin the flim an dthe show! how about a total unknown cast ? maybe the broadway cats when the flim is made? why do we have ot have a celebraty playing the lead?
Well we dont HAVE to have a celebrity playing the roll.. I just think that sara paxton would make a perfect galinda. I mean she can sing and looks the part, Its Elphaba who is hard to decide.
Yeah I know! If they make the movie in 2014 like they said they were then I dont think that Idina would be to old to play the part. I dont think kristin would be either. Because kritstin looks REALLY young for her age.
Excatly. It does really depend when they make the flim. in the next couple of years, Idina and Kristin deffinitly. Why take their roles from them? I really supose it's all down to timing. I think they will be forever known as Glinda and Elphaba. I think idina's only famous in the world of musicla theare, even though Kristin is more well known.
So, my aunt went to Harvard University, and she spent a lot of time at a museum there. Natalie Portman was serving as an intern/aide there. One day when my aunt gestured to a statue in the museum with her pen, Natalie confiscated it and gave her a pencil!
But the story gets better: One day my aunt's friend needed to find a bathroom, and the nearest one was at the museum. So my aunt gestured to Natalie Portman (who was walking to the museum) and said to follow her. Henceforth needing to use the restroom became known as needing to follow Natalie Portman.
Ha thats funny, I would love to meet Natalie Portman. Although I'd probably melt into a big puddle if I did. And what the??? AWO!!! You havnt seen V for Vendetta. It's only one of the greatest films of this centuary. I demand that you see it..... That is all
I would personally like to bring back the original cast, but it would be cool (don't judge me!) if they couldn't get Norbert, if they got Adam Lambert. He's such a good singer! Or maybe Meryl Streep as Madame Morrible. I heard she plays good sinister characters. (when she plays evil characters) Though I would take almost anyone as long as the don't RUIN it like some people have.
Just some notes:
1. What's wrong with Kristin at her age? My friends are always fooled by her appearance vs her real age. She maintained youth very well. Same goes for Idina, just she can't this year (she's pregnant)
2. I don't know about Anne Hathaway as Elphaba. Don't get me wrong, she would be great, but I don't know if she belts the way you need and Elphaba to belt.
3. You know, I was reading this and it WOULD be interesting with Julie Andrews as Madame Morrible, but the thing is, I look up to only two people, Kristin Chenoweth and Julie Andrews but Madame Morrible scares me so! I can't imagine Julie Andrews with a foot high wig and powdered whit face and overly red lipstick.
4. In some website and SOMEONE wants to ruin Wicked. They thought that BRITTANY SPEARS should play Glinda. BRITTANY SPEARS, PEOPLE!!! HONESTLY!

Idina in a radio interview said it was more likely she'd play Elphaba's grandmother than Elphaba herself in a movie version. And in a couple of Gregory Maguire's interviews he said the movie will start production/be released in 2014. Not 2010 as IMDB likes to lead people to believe. Whenever it is, Wicked's massive income will have to be on the decline when they make the movie because the musical is so popular.
