Hey my name is Anke, or you can call me Ana, may be easier. Yeah, I live in Germany so I know English version of Wicked, but also German. My name here "frei und schwerelos" is the German version of Defying Gravity. I saw Wicked for a vew weeks twice and is was amazing, the best musical I've ever seen and may see! My favourite role is Elphaba, and as I'm also interrested in becoming a musicalactress this is m big dream to play it once. In Germany Willemijn Verkaik a netherland woman plays the Elphaba and she's my fav and I also like Idina Menzel!
Welcome to the site Ana! I have seen clips of the german version and even thou I cant understand it I think That the original german elphaba is FANTASTIC! She has a very unique and different voice and its really pretty! Well I hope you like it here. And feel free to PM me if you have any questions or anything.
I've heard Willemijn Verkaik and she is AMAZING! I think she is one of my favorite Elphabas! I actually think that (even though I can't understand it) I like the German version better. It's a beautiful language and I wish I understood it. Anyways, welcome to the Emerald City!!

Well, mostly German version of English musicals is worse, but wicked is very good translated and it just fits somehow! You could learn a lil "Wicked-German" from me !
