I chose Kerry Ellis because she was the first one I saw and the one i've seen the most and i think she's absolutely fantastic. I love her voice and i'm excited she's coming to broadway

Oooooo... ouch. Hard to choose. Idina's the wonderful original, Kerry's adorable (and I'm seeing her in 16 days *happy dance*) and has a gorgeous voice, Julia Murney is AMAZING but I think her voice sounds too mature for Elphie when she sings, HUGE Steph Block fan but her vowels sound too covered to me when she sings as Elphie but gorgeous voice as well....

I'm torn between Idina and Eden. Ive seen them both and they are both amazing. Eden puts alittle more fire into her character and idina you can see how distraught her elphaba becomes, they both make you feel for the character, almost as if they are real...its completely brilliant
im actually not much of a fan of eden. i feel she delivers a lot of her lines in a really angry tone and plays the character a bit stiffly. where a lot of the others ive seen, especially idina seem to come of as a more casual type person.
yea i can see that but i think that kinda what makes her stand out from the rest of the Elphaba's, i mean if you think about she, she does have every reason in the world to be angry
she does stand out. and your right in that she has a lot of reason to be angry. but i suppose each elphaba appeals differently to every one. whether shes a bit more aggressive or a bit softer she is still an amazingly strong character. and i think everyone who plays her manages to get that across.
Sadly, I did not see Kerry (or Kendra) when I went to see Wicked on B'way. But Julie Reiber was AMAZING! She's def one of my favs, but I have to give Steph J Block my vote. She is my hero :)
Well, on my youtube channel I got a question from someone who works for Idina asking where to get the Stuttgart cast recording because she liked Willemijn so much.
