God news!

As some of you may or may not know, I am a senior in high school. I have been working very hard at college applications, a very big deal in the US, and my work has just started to pay off. I've been accepted into Tulane University (in New Orleans) and they have offered me a $20,000 a year scholarship. biggrin

I hear you in the college application thing. I'm applying to the Theatre Arts program in my hometown (Grant MacEwan College for those canadians who have heard of it). Its really competitive, they only take 30 a year. My audition is in a couple weeks and i have to learn a song, 2 monologues, a dance, and update my knowledge of music theory.

Congrats... the scholarships come in handy! Thats awesome!

Its not #1, but it all depends on who gives the best offer. I've been to New Orleans. In the summer it was almost 100 degrees fahrenheit, with 100% humidity. disbelief

That said, I'm sure its OK in the fall and winter.

yup, and that's when you'd be there so that's all that really matters?
Plus no snowy winters! That'd be nice.
And EtB, I've heard of Grant MacEwan. I had a friend who was looking at it but i don't think they're going to end up auditioning.
I'm only applying to school in England, but most of them are pretty damn competitive (for drama) so i'm nervous. I really want to go where my aunt went ( Guildhall) since she's actually been in shows on the West End after graduating. Haha and Orlando Bloom went there.

Oh, going to school in England would be cool. I'm hoping to go to Liverpool or Edinbourough (sp?) after i graduate. That is if I get in. I really hope I get in... I don't think I'll have a problem with the song, but I have trouble with remembering monologues.

I hope you get into Guildhall! That would be really cool.
