Who's your favorite side character and why?

Okay, so we all know that everyone likes Elphaba and Glinda and Fiyero.  So I thought it would be interesting to find out who our favorite side characters are.  It can be anyone other than the three main characters.  And I'm talking about just characters.  Actors and actresses don't factor into this.  So who is your favorite?

Hmm... Mine would have to be nessa just simply because I think she is cool and I just like how the character is!

I kinda feel sorry for Nessa. I mean, at some points she bugs me because she's a bit ungrateful and kinda selfish, but she just wants to be loved, so she's slightly justified with it. I kinda like Boq up until the end.

Yeah I know... but everyone has those times you know? Boq is cool but I think that it is mean of what he did to nessa, just "pretending" to like her while her.. she thinks that he likes her and that they are in love but he acctually isnt in love with her... I dont know I just think thats mean..

Yeah, that is kinda crummy of him. But, I have no idea why, but I still kinda like him. I, for some reason, feel more sorry for him than I do for Nessa. I have no idea why. Seriously.

Yeah alot of people like boq and nessa though.... acctually alot of people like nessa and some side charachters better then the main characters!

Personally, I really like Dr. Dillamond. I feel really bad for him because of what happens to him at the end. I think I'd really like him if he was my teacher.

I love nessa... cause the way i see it is that she's alot like elphie in the sense that she is also misunderstood. All she wants if for Boq to love her and she believed that the wheelchair was keeping them apart. So when she is finally able to stand and learns that it wasn't the chair but that fact that boq loved someone else she is completely heartbroken and hurt. And the munchkins don't see that inside she is still just a little girl who wants to be loved.

I was bawling like a baby when nessa declared herself the wicked witch of the east
cause again like her sister, she's not really wicked

I like Elphaba...I feel sorry for her because everyone doesn't like her and everyone kinda wants to be liked. (Maybe not everyone but most people). And she has the best songs in the musical. lol.

Yeah... but Elphaba isn't a side character.  She's the main character.  We're talking side characters here.  We all know that everyone loves Elphaba :P

Yeah I agree gelphaba... it is sad, Nessa is a really sad character though... with everything that happens to her and everything. I Like her though! ;)

Mine must be Boq. Like Nessa, his story is so sad and tragic. Such a kind and compassionate heart eventually ending up cold and literally heartless.

i'd have to go with nessa too. She goes through a lot and it's sad. and i really like wicked witch of the east, i wish it was on the cd!

In the Musical either the Wizard or Mme. Morrible, because you seem to be getting angry when people suggest they liked Elphaba. Then again I'm a huge Rue Mclanahan fan so chances are she's the only reason I like Mme. well her and Carole Shelly. In all seriousness though I'd have to go with Elphaba.

In the book my favorites are Nanny, Dr. Dillamond, and Boq. I just read the book again last weekend and Nanny never stops being amazing.

Either way it is a great story with great characters.
