Yeah I think that to! I mean the musical is the most popular, The book is popular to but not as much as the musical. I just think a musical would be watched more then a drama or adventure type movie. I think anne hathaway would make a good elphie... she sings so she would be perfect for a musical. and i think she is a good actress to.
I did have a thought though. What about an actress like Hillary Swank as Elphaba? A younger woman known for her darker more brooding roles. I bet Hillary could bring a new edge to Elphaba that nobody even thought of before.
like omg NO!!!! I don't think she is good at all and would ruin the flim an dthe show! how about a total unknown cast ? maybe the broadway cats when the flim is made? why do we have ot have a celebraty playing the lead?
Well we dont HAVE to have a celebrity playing the roll.. I just think that sara paxton would make a perfect galinda. I mean she can sing and looks the part, Its Elphaba who is hard to decide.
Yeah I know! If they make the movie in 2014 like they said they were then I dont think that Idina would be to old to play the part. I dont think kristin would be either. Because kritstin looks REALLY young for her age.
Excatly. It does really depend when they make the flim. in the next couple of years, Idina and Kristin deffinitly. Why take their roles from them? I really supose it's all down to timing. I think they will be forever known as Glinda and Elphaba. I think idina's only famous in the world of musicla theare, even though Kristin is more well known.
So, my aunt went to Harvard University, and she spent a lot of time at a museum there. Natalie Portman was serving as an intern/aide there. One day when my aunt gestured to a statue in the museum with her pen, Natalie confiscated it and gave her a pencil!
But the story gets better: One day my aunt's friend needed to find a bathroom, and the nearest one was at the museum. So my aunt gestured to Natalie Portman (who was walking to the museum) and said to follow her. Henceforth needing to use the restroom became known as needing to follow Natalie Portman.
Ha thats funny, I would love to meet Natalie Portman. Although I'd probably melt into a big puddle if I did. And what the??? AWO!!! You havnt seen V for Vendetta. It's only one of the greatest films of this centuary. I demand that you see it..... That is all
Idina in a radio interview said it was more likely she'd play Elphaba's grandmother than Elphaba herself in a movie version. And in a couple of Gregory Maguire's interviews he said the movie will start production/be released in 2014. Not 2010 as IMDB likes to lead people to believe. Whenever it is, Wicked's massive income will have to be on the decline when they make the movie because the musical is so popular.
1. Idina Menzel, duh! Personally, I would like Idina to come back. She's still good and the original one so yeah. She did the CD and I want to see the Original Broadway Cast. I've only seen blurry snippets from YouTube which is sad. Idina is still young enough, I believe so I think she'd be fine.
2. Lea Michelle might be good. So yeah, she's Idina2. I know. But she can SING! She did Glee and I know her from that but she did Defying Gravity there and I thought it was good. Anyway, she seems a pretty good actress and if we need someone younger than Idina, why not get the similar one that's a lot younger? (unless you just want someone else, but hey, that's me)
GAlinda
1. Kristin Chenoweth of course! Yeah, I'm like a huge fan but that's not the point. She was the first Glinda and I liked the way she styled the character (didn't see her but I've been watching YouTube). Megan Hilty was all spazzy and crazy, funny-yes, perfect for the movie-no. Sorry if you don't like that but this is just my anonymous idea. Oh, and, wrong with her age vs appearance? My friends all think she looks pretty young despite her real age of 41. My friend Rachel said a little redone makeup (she was looking at the April Rhodes pic) and stuff like that she could pass as Galinda or Glinda.
... I don't have anybody else for Glinda, actually.
Fiyero
1. Original cast guy. Norbert Leo Butz. Yeah.
2. Adam Lambert. Yeah, I know some of you butz (haha joke... I'm bored, ok???) hate gay dudes and stuff but he played Fiyero in LA so whatever you people. Anyways, he can sing and he can act (unlike Zac Efron) so I'm good. No, I don't like Zac Efron. His lip syncing for a prerecording suck and his voice is only so-so. He can act ok but mostly I can see right through it. Sorry, guys.
Morrible
1. Carolle Shelly. Yes, original cast but I would like to see the OBC together since I never got to.
2. Maryl Streep, actually. Now, I know it sounds random but that's what I think. She can sing as I found out and so I'd really find it pretty cool to see how she portrays Morrible.
That's it for now but I've got MORE!!! DUN DUN DUN!!! Well, just got one bottom line. GET MOVIN' YOU STUPID MOVIE PEOPLE!!!
