dang. you guys have much better seasons then me. I wanna do chicago and rent! lol.
The theater i'm doing Peter Pan with right now released their season today actually. A lot of these are kind of a long shot since this theater is crazy competitive, i don't know how i got Tiger Lily. But the actress playing peter pan told me that since i got in peter pan i have my foot in the door now and probably have a better chance of getting into more shows now. Anyways their season is.
Parade You Can't Take it With You Cabaret A Streetcar named Desire Gypsy Noises Off Man of La Mancha
Does anyone know if any of these shows have roles for kids? I'm 15 but i'm pretty little so i can really play as young as 10. thanks

umm my school do a musical once every two years as its always a really big expensive production and it costs a lot of money to hire out our towns theatre. this year we are doing sweet charity. i put my name down for backstage and at the moment they are up to second call backs for lead parts. one of my friends got in and im really excited. our last musical two years ago was bugsy malone which was really good.
ooh i was in sweet charity this year! It's one of my favorite shows. I wanted charity but i got Nickie which was okay because i get to sing Hey Big Spender.

I'm organizing an "English Night" for my school, and I'd like to present a musical story. Should I base it on one of my stories, or do any of you have any ideas?
I was thinking of doing the basic story of Wicked the way it is in the book, or perhaps the stage musical? (though it'll be hard finding the proper people to be in either version)
Also, we're planning to have a fashion show too. The theme is traditional outfits of places around the world that speak english. I have a black dress like the ones Elphaba wears- what place would you suggest I say such a dress is from? (I have to give my teacher/advisor a real place where it could be from....)
I just found out yesterday we might be doing an Oz Musical Revue next spring.
It would include songs from Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, and The Wiz.
My Drama Teacher said he'd make sure it's legal (he's really serious about stuff like that, bootlegs irk him). He said something like, "You don't have to get the rights if you make it your own medley."
There's practically no guys in our Drama Department besides me. I heard if we did it we might do "Dancing Through Life." Did I hear Fiyero?
yeah unfortunately it is illegal to do the full show of wicked but doing songs from it is okay. same goes with any musical (that doesn't have the rights out).
too bad you can't say the dress is from Oz

Dang, that's lame...... In that case choose wisely.......
From Oz? That's what I thought to tell her!!! Hahaha!
But I'm sure she'll go on about how I should dig up the entire history of the place as evidence that it exists, and I doubt the novel is enough to convince her.......... But the dress looks so good! Where can I say it's from? It's like a sleeveless, buckle-strap version of Elphaba's dress for 'No Good Deed,' with a corset. So nice...........................
