I literally joined just 15 seconds ago, so I really don't know anything about this place.
I'm half-Chinese and half-German, and have always loved music and invention, and have always been a slave to creativity.
I joined because I love Wicked, and I'd like to have someone to talk to about it, because unfortunately, it isn't very popular over here in Malaysia. (How could it not be, right?! These crazy people have no taste....) I can't wait to get back to Germany......
I've been performing on stage since I was 9, but I only started singing onstage last year, shortly before I turned 15, in an original musical entitled "Midnight Puppet" (minor role only, I think of it....) This year, my friends and I represented our school in a drama competition- with a story that I wrote (I wrote two, but that one was better. I'm also currently writing a novel, but nevermind that)
During the auditions for characters, we were told that singing would be an advantage; so several of us decided to squeeze in a song. (My script had several songs in it, though we ended up presenting the edited non-musical version in the competition) Personally I don't think my voice is great, but I did "With A Broken Wing"- the whole hall was quiet and staring when I finished. I got called back later that day. This time, I did an excerpt from "Defying Gravity"- this time, the group stood and applauded when I finished (don't ask me why). I thought it was wierd....
In the first round, we got 2nd part, so we could move on to semi-finals.... In the semi's however, we were good, but not good enough. We ended up being 5th best in Kuala Lumpur (that's what London is to England/ Berlin is to Germany) After the competition, the actors were given to show appreciation to their teachers (since Teacher's Day was close at hand)- I was forced, and literally pushed out to sing again!

great job with your competition, that sounds so exciting! And defying gravity is always a hard song to sing so i'm sure you deserved all the applause you got.

I've been trying to a write a bunch of stuff, but between that, work, and maybe attempting to read, I haven't gotten much done. But tis coming along... :)
I mostly write fanfics: day dreams, scenes and snippets... Sometimes I'll be working on a single story but I'll have three different sections of it in three different places. Like a Wicked one I'm working on now: beginning on my computer and two other parts I wanted to write in a notebook. I mean to post on here eventually under the fanfic thread... eventually. lol
Well, that sounds good..... Though you should get copyright........ That's why I'm so secretive about what I write...... Trusted personal friends only....
Woohooo! New scripts on the way! Finally finished some of the old ones! Relief! Now, the new challenges await....... Lovely, lovely stories in progress~~
