You mean Paris? If so you have made me jealous. But I'm still more jealous over the Russian trip!

Wow.. you guys have gone to so many places! Lol. Well I have never even been out of Florida! I want to go to Paris, France someday though. I love Paris

well if it makes you feel better, i'd love to go to florida!

i think paris is kind of overrated, but from where i grew up it was only a train ride away so i guess i just got sick of it. I've never really seen france outside of paris though which i'd love to do.

Europeans don't realize what they have. So many countries with such easy access... Here in America we can only dream about getting to Paris, but Europeans don't even pay much attention to it! Like me with Hollywood....

In American you are still joined to other countries, like Canada and such. Im on a big island! No matter how far we drive we will always still be on this big island. Its pretty cool in a way but makes it more expensive for us to see other places.

Yes. I concede to your point.

But being next to Mexico sure hasn't helped us any!

yeah that's true. That's what i loved about living in Europe, and that's why i've been to as many countries as i have. It's super cheap to fly anywhere around europe too.

Canada sucks (at least where i am) because you can only drive down to the not so exciting states or other not very exciting parts of canada. haha but i'm a canada hater. i don't think i'd wanted to go to mexico, it just seems super poor and dirty to me (which is probably a horrible thing to say). I've gotten mistaken for mexican many times before (until they hear me speak), people don't get that when i say i'm Spanish i mean i'm from Spain...

Critter: Its 3000 times worse in reality

Mari: Yup, its poor and dirty. And I'm sorry people can't tell Spanish and Mexican apart. Its not great testimony to the intelligence of people.

Americans are just ignorant. There are exceptions like myself, but on the whole we are shamefully ignorant.

I dont understand any of that election stuff going on in America right now but its annoying me because its been on our news for aggess. Why is it taking so long anyway? In Australia we just have a bit of a run up, a vote and then its done. And why is it optional to vote in America? Over here everyone over 18 has to vote. Its illegal not to.

Wow. Thats really weird.

We have elections in November, but the parties have primaries to determine their candidates from January into early summer. Then its decided in the early fall officially and the campaign starts.

Our politicians throw tons of money into it and we are still lucky to have a 50% turnout. Maybe mandating voting would work. But it wouldn't resound well in America.

I got back from Washington D.C last night! I'm so glad to have my bed back to myself...kind of. I got home and found worms in my bed. Gross! I have four sisters and we all shared 2 double beds at the hotel.

One of our teachers at school is American and they are putting up Obama signs everywhere. None of us really care haha, its not like America puts up posters of our Prime Ministers during our elections.

Washington D.C is awesome! I do not know how the worms happened. The next day I washed my sheets very well.

I've been to
Denmark (a dozen times... My family really visits there often, and the first time I was abroad was to Denmark.)
Sweden
Norway
Estonia
German (mostly just driving through. One day we drove along the Moselle River, though.)
Luxembourg
Switzerland
Austria
Belgium (just driving through)
France (mostly just Paris)
Italy
and Great Britain (just London).

My absolute favourites are Denmark (I love swimming in the ocean and eating fiskefillet med remoulade! :D) and London (can't wait to get there again. And I'll see musicals this time!)
I didn't like Paris that much, for some reason. It was somehow less than I expected, all filled with tourists (can't complain about that too much, since I was myself one of them, too) and too many "must see" activities... But I've been to Disneyland Paris twice, and I just love that place, so great roller coasters! Some claim I'm nuts when I love it so much, though... :D

I'd love to go to USA some day!

Wow, here you're considered well traveled if you've been to the southern States, Mexico or the Caribbean. Thats the thing about living in a winter country... every one just wants to escape to the warm.

States: Nevada (Las Vegas), New York (New York City)
Canada: Alberta (live there), BC, Saskatchewan, Ontario
Italy: Rome, Florence, Venice
Germany: Frankfurt (kinda not really since we were in the international terminal of the airport)

The farthest I've been out of the USA is Vancouver. But I have been to-or through- several states.
