The Producers

One of my all time favorites, I'm very happy that I downloaded the Austrian cast recording off Amazon. I'd attach an audio file, but i don't know if I can.

If you'd like to hear one of the songs (or more) go ahead and email me so I can send you one. Or two. Or however many.

I'm not too familiar with the show but a local community theatre is putting it on and I might go see it.

If you'd like to hear it in German, just ask.

Well...technically that's Austrian German. The German spoken in The Sound of Music. Hehe. There are slightly different dialects of German.

Just ignore my hair-splitting nit-picky-ness. (and over-use of hyphens)

Yes, but the same language. It makes me wonder a little....

Wicked is in Stuttgart, in Southern Germany. It has a Dutch actress starring. How different does that sound from a dialect from, say, Berlin.... confuse

yeah, it's hard to tell if you don't speak the language. or even if you do. like there's tons of different forms of british accents but non british people usually have trouble telling the difference. Same with spanish, i'm from southern spain so we sound wayy different then a lot of other places there. I guess it's like that with every language...

haha anyway. I wish i spoke German. Producers in german sounds pretty cool

German is easy. White is weiss, brown is braun, gray is grau, and maximum speed is Höchstgeschwindigkeit.

lol, yes...

German is a strange language. But its surprisingly easy to pick up bits, the grammar takes serious work.

If you think that's long Mari...

Gewöhnungsbedürftig und beispiellos verwunderlich so unvorstellbar, unbeschreiblich, und sonderbar

Which means... Habituation-needily (AWO can translate Gewöhnungsbedürftig better I believe than I can) and unparalleled amazingly so inconceivable, indescribable, and strange

That's from the German version of 'What is this Feeling?'. Galinda's explanation of her roommate to be exact.

Yes, I was spelling it in English.

My German is almost non-existent but I do recall that one. This language thing reminded me, I learned a phrase in Farsi.

Salaam shomaa umagiee qub astein imroose. Thats a transliteration for "Hello, how are you all doing today?"
