Ok lets see if I can remember how to do this photo thing. I have over 4000 photos so far and Im getting more everyday So Ill just put a couple on.

I cant seem to figure out how to put writing with them so Ill just explain here.
1. First is our whole group in front of Eiffel Tower
2. Then me and my friend Ella in Versailles gardens
3. Ella and I being Gargoyles outside Notre Dame
4.Scary skulls and bones! The Catacombes in Paris. Over 2km of underground tunnels lined with the bones of dead people... scary place!
4.A bunch of adorable little puffy Russian children
5.Hmm Ella seems to be in all these pics but thats her and I in front of a frozen sea thing.
6. Ginnie and I in Dubai airport Duty free at 2:30am
7. Mona

St Petersburg followed by one 8 hour, cramped up smelly train ride to Moscow. That train ride was a journey in itself.

Heh... Well at least the Moscow Subway is pretty.

Take any pics of Red Square for me?

Ahhh... Gorgeous.

And nice weather too. I'd have been expecting it to be a little worse. Was there severe mud?

There were muddy areas yes, but we mainly had good weather. It snowed one day while we were in Moscow. Apart from that it was just very cold, but that suited me fine.

Ah thanks, it seemed like a good idea at the time, which was during my 37 hours straight without sleep. Lets just say that by the end of that a lot of things were seeming like a good idea.

I know that feeling. I was just about dead on my feet after a 13 hour plane ride from Rome to LA.

You must have been really jet-lagged.

Out of curiosity, how and why were you at Dubai?

Umm apparently it was a safer route. We had to have a stop over and Dubai is just where they do that apparently.

Well, as you can see from the attached map...

Green routes are the likely undiverted routes, while black is an approximation of your own route.

It appears you were diverted to bypass either Pakistan or Korea. Both are hotspots.

Expect half hour delays from LAX, Sheremeteyevo, and London-Heathrow...

That's really interesting.
But yeah, Dubai is fairly Touristy so that makes sense.

I'm quite sure it was to bypass Pakistan AWO. Most of the school trips went through that way.
By the way Mari happy 700th post!

Cool pics, it seems you had fun! But brrh, The Catacombes seems scary, I wouldn't feel comfortable at all there...

Bad is it? And yes the catacombes were scary! Even ask my friend Ginnie who I was in there with. I was terrified and apparently was clinging onto her.

Heh heh. I can understand that, though such places simply aren't scary to me. I love all things underground.

Underground scares me. I prefer being on solid ground, not under it, or in the air or in the sea...but on it. As you can tell I'm a great traveller haha

In my book the joys of travel outweigh the miseries. If I'm ever near Melbourne I'll say hi.
