RE: My Trip Photos

Ha we use the comma a bit to. But you also have a bad habit of making a U.S version of every tv show in the world, often ended up with a poorer result than the actual country. Where as here we just watch TV shows from other countries.

That we do. We also have substandard food.

Every other country's "McDonald's" is five times better in quality and class. Ours' is awful.

That's a shame.

Never, ever, try McDonald's in America. If you think its nasty elsewhere, I guarantee its worse in the USA.

*pops in with her two cents*

And that's why In'n'Out is amazing...and isn't a global franchise.

That and the free airfare home. Well, free for me.

That's definitely a plus.

Isn't it always?

I almost got free airfare out there too. My Grandma donated her frequent flyer miles, and it gave my mom a free roundtrip. There still are half the points required for one more, but it charges the same amount of points for a one way as for roundtrip. So we have to pay.

That was surprisingly verbose.

Hmm...well, my family road-trips mostly so I don't know much about the economic workings of the airline industry.

Man I wish we got free airfare. Paying for 9 people to go to London twice a year and Spain once a year is costly. We have some frequent flyer stuff though which is good. If I go to university in London (which i'm about 95% sure I will) then I'll have to pay for airfare a lot more.

I'm used to air travel. I'm also used to road trips. Short road trips or long but leisurely road trips are great.

I've gotten grief from both but air travel is generally my preference.

Mari: What's your favorite airline? I have to say mine is Swiss Air (free chocolate).

Sorry I havnt been posting Ive been quite sick all week. Spent Friday night in hospital which is always fun. But back to Macdonalds. I been to Macdonalds in Russia and France and the standard over there isnt great either. Do they have the same menus everywhere? With the salads and stuff? Being vegetarian I hardly eat there at all.

Oh... that's bad. What is it?

And on Mcdonald's, its not good stuff. Its mostly the meat thats horrible, which thankfully doesn't affect you.
My aunt is actually a vegetarian as well. Loves Indian food, which I must say I adore as well.

Couldn't live without meat. Sorry! I mean, miss out on chicken tikka masala, or tandoori chicken?

There's a great place in Artesia, on pioneer blvd. (this is mostly for you EtD) called Shan. Its Hyderabadi cuisine and is amazing. Its also all halal.

Found a link: http://www.shanrestaurant.us/

On google it has some bad reviews, and I have to say they are undeserved. The food is great, and we even spotted some actress from The West Wing. As you might have guessed, I had no clue who she was, but my family did.

That looks good!

On the topic of food, though moving away from Indian cuisine, is a favorite of mine in Alexandria Virginia.

If ever in the area, swing by Gadsby's Tavern. http://www.gadsbystavernrestaurant.com/

This was President Washington's favorite place to go, and its still in business today with the same recipes. Its pricey, but worth it for the history and the delicious food.

Haha well AWO we mostly fly Virgin Atlantic which is pretty nice. They have video games on the plane!

I love how random we are, I too love Indian food. There's not a lot of it in Canada but London has a pretty large Indian population so there are a lot of choices here.

I've never been to the UK, but I'd love to.

It is worth noting that I ordered my kilt from Edinburgh though.

I'm going to London (again, yeah... :D) with my mum next week, can't wait! I'm going to see as many musicals as I can (again, yeah... :D), I've already got tickets for Les Misérables. I'm going to buy discount tickets for the rest, so I'm not sure what other musicals I'll see. Wicked would be nice, though...

Indian food sounds interesting, but I've never been in an Indian restaurant. Well, maybe in London, then. :)
