RE: My Trip Photos

London has a huge amount of Indian establishments.

I don't know that from personal experience mind you! But it does.

Enjoy!

Melbourne has an intesnly large Indian population. I was in Melbourne on New Years Eve and just in the streets it was about 90% Indian 10% everything else. It was actually kind of creepy. Im not racist or anything its just the sheer numbers of them got annoying after my friend and I spent 2 or 3 hours without bumping into another non Indian person at some stage. I felt like I was actually in India that night and not Australia as the Australians were just so hard to find.

The world is constantly changing, demographics of a nation are just one more example.

Race has never really drawn my attention, except for instances where people match up precisely with bad stereotypes. That is both tragic and funny.

*invokes Zazu from The Lion King when Scar has him in a rib 'cage'*

It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all...

I feel so ambivalent about that ride.

Its simultaneously a sweet concept and the world's largest collection of stereotypes.

Not I. I haven't even seen the first.

I heard it was pretty bad though. So full of holes it looked like Swiss cheese.

The old cartoons from the 80s had better plots.

Before my time!

I was raised on taped copies of Star Trek from the late 80s and early 90s. That was fun.

My biggest shock was coming to CA and finding the same Ford dealer who was driven out of Washington on a rail for swindling with another dealership.

Yeah...people come to Cali for fame, fortune, and escaping. Definitely some creepers around.

The transformers cartoon was before my time as well. I instead grew up on its computer generated spin off Beast Wars which to this day I still love. Those robots turning into animals was the coolest thing ever to me. Probably why Skorponok and Ravage are my faves of the new series.

I did!

Most interesting thing to me in the first Transformers movie was that the Decepticon disguised as a police car instead of 'To protect and serve' had 'To destroy and enslave'.

Yup. There's always a reason to look more closely at the picture presented.

Reminds me of what I finally got around to seeing recently. Dr. Strangelove.

Its brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

"Look Colonel Bat Guano, if that really is your name..."

Thats cool about the decepticon in the first movie, Barricade I think it was? Ive never looked that closly at what it said. I wish the second movie was as good as the first. As much as it suffers a lot of critisicm I do love the first one. By the way kids Ive got tickets to the matinee of Wicked next Wed :D

Thanks. I think the fact that Ive been sick and unable to leave the house for most of my holidays so far made mum feel sorry for me and give in.

It's going to be at the Metronom Theatre. Google image search gives some pretty good visuals, including an arial.

Here's the search results: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=Metronom+theatre+Oberhausen%2C+Germany&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=

It's a really great looking theatre.
