RE: The ranting topic

Hahaha that is utterly ridiculous.
And people actually like reading that stuff, craziness.

Don't know if I rant as much as I used to, but there's some fun stuff to read on my blog.

Oh! And when they make one of them pregnant. That make it even worse. Have those authors never studied biology?! I don't care how much you say they love each other. Female + female does not equal baby. At the most it equals STDs/STIs.

More rants from moi

I really don't know what to do about one of my friends over here. She's 17, going into her last year of school, and she doesn't care about going to college. I guess it shouldn't be that big of a deal but it annoys me a lot because she has a lot of potential and if she actually made the effort to do something she'd go so far in life. She's an incredible dancer and she could probably get into some of the top dance programs in Canada or America even. But she's just not motivated at all. And it just makes me sad because I don't want to see her end up working in McDonald's for the rest of her life or something. But if I try to talk to her about she just gets mad at me. We got into a huge argument today about it because I was trying to spark her interests by mentioning the schools I wanted to apply to and how little time was really left and that our lives were really going to begin after this, and she responded by telling me to shut up.

hmmph

I've had similar problems. I had one friend in particular who was so bright, she had great academics and could have gone to a decent school. I kept pushing her to aim high, but she kept her fixation on a low-brow area school. I finally had to give up or risk losing my friend.

Ultimately you can't just tell them what to do, they have to control themselves.

yeah unfortunately you're right. It's just rather frustrating and hard to understand.

Okay. Another rant here.

Why is it that "hip" people have started wearing keffiyeh around their necks? Its not a scarf or fashion accessory, its a traditional Palestinian headdress.

Its absurd. It indicates support for the Palestinian cause, its not a fashion accessory.
